If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Based on your last comment, SAVE THAT TEXT showing the 10pm notification for a 6am shift! That's exactly the kind of documentation that helped me win my appeal. Make sure to file your initial claim ASAP - the system will likely deny you automatically, but then you'll have the right to appeal and present your evidence. Start applying for jobs immediately too, as you'll need to show job search efforts regardless of the outcome.

Just submitted my initial claim online. You're right, I'll plan for the appeal process just in case. I've already started applying for jobs with more regular hours. Hoping to find something soon but UC would really help in the meantime. Thank you all for the advice!

Good luck with your claim! I went through something similar as a single parent and the appeal process can be stressful but it's worth fighting for. One thing I learned - when you have your eligibility interview, bring printed copies of all your texts and documentation. The referees appreciate having physical evidence they can review during the call. Also, if you get denied initially (which is common), don't panic. The appeal process is where most people actually win their cases because you get to present your full story with evidence. Keep applying for jobs in the meantime and document your job search efforts. You've got solid documentation with those schedule change texts, especially that 10pm-for-6am example. That shows exactly the kind of impossible situation that makes continued employment unreasonable for a parent.

I went through this exact same thing about 6 months ago and it scared me to death! Got my approval letter, started receiving payments, then suddenly got that UC-45 form asking about my separation again. I called myself crazy thinking I must have missed something or filled something out wrong the first time. Turns out it really is just their random quality control process - like others said, about 10% of approved claims get selected. I filled it out with exactly the same info as my original application and never had any issues. The key thing is just being consistent with your answers and getting it back to them quickly. Don't stress too much about it - sounds like you're handling it perfectly!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! It's really reassuring to hear from someone who went through the exact same thing. I was definitely overthinking it and worried I had made some mistake on my original application. Reading everyone's responses here has been such a relief - it sounds like this is way more common than I realized. I'm feeling much more confident about the whole process now!

I'm dealing with something similar right now! Got my approval about 3 weeks ago and just received what looks like the same UC-45 form yesterday. I was panicking thinking they were going to take back my approval, but after reading all these responses I feel so much better. It's crazy how they don't explain this process anywhere - like a simple note saying "this is routine verification" would save everyone so much stress! Going to fill mine out today with the exact same info I provided initially. Thanks to everyone who shared their experiences here, it really helps to know this is normal!

UPDATE: I finally got through to someone at PA UC after using that Claimyr service (thanks for the recommendation). The agent confirmed the check is legitimate! Apparently, there was a statewide review of pandemic claims and they found that I should have received the additional $600 federal supplement for 2 weeks I was eligible but didn't get it, plus they recalculated my base year wages and found I qualified for a higher weekly benefit rate than I received. The agent said a notification letter was supposedly mailed 3 weeks ago explaining all this, but I never received it (typical PA UC). She's having another letter sent and noted in my file that the payment was confirmed legitimate. I'm depositing the check tomorrow! Thanks everyone for your help. If anyone else gets a surprise payment, definitely verify before cashing, but it might be legitimate backpay from this review they're doing.

Just be careful and SAVE some of that money for taxes next year!!! UC payments are taxable and they probably didn't withhold anything on this check!!!

@Emma Davis is absolutely right about the taxes! I learned this the hard way when I got a surprise 1099-G for unemployment benefits I forgot about. Set aside at least 20-25% for federal and state taxes since they probably didn t'withhold anything. Also, keep all your documentation from this call - reference numbers, agent name if you got it, confirmation details. PA UC has a history of forgetting "phone" conversations happened.

Congratulations on getting it sorted out! This gives me hope that PA UC is actually trying to make things right from the pandemic chaos. I was laid off in May 2020 and always wondered if I got everything I was entitled to - the whole system was such a mess back then. For anyone else reading this thread, I'd recommend keeping an eye on your mailbox over the next few months. Sounds like they're working through these claims chronologically, so if you had unemployment during the pandemic, you might be getting a surprise too. And definitely use that Claimyr service if you need to call - trying to get through to PA UC the regular way is like winning the lottery! Thanks for sharing your update QuantumQuest - really helpful to know how this all played out.

This whole thread has been super helpful! I was also unemployed during the pandemic (March-July 2020) and never thought to question if I got everything I was entitled to. The whole system was so overwhelmed back then - half the time I couldn't even log into the website to certify my weekly claims. Now I'm wondering if I should proactively call to see if I'm owed anything from this review they're doing, or just wait to see if a check shows up in the mail. Anyone know if there's a way to check if your claim is part of this audit without having to spend hours on hold?

Good idea, I'll definitely do that. Can't afford any more delays!

So glad you got it resolved! The missing apartment number issue is unfortunately super common with these Money Network cards. For anyone else reading this - when you call 888-233-5916, also ask them to read back your full address exactly as they have it on file. Sometimes there are formatting differences between what shows in your UC portal and what Money Network actually received. I learned this the hard way when my card got returned twice before I figured out they had "Apt 2B" instead of "Unit 2B" like I had entered online.

0 coins

This is such helpful advice! I wish I had known about the address formatting issue earlier - would have saved me weeks of stress. It's crazy how picky these systems are about tiny details like "Apt" vs "Unit" or even missing punctuation. For anyone dealing with this, definitely ask them to spell out your entire address letter by letter when you call. The representatives are usually pretty helpful once you get through to them.

Good luck with your appeal! One final suggestion - keep detailed records of all your communications with UC, including screenshots of your claim status changes and copies of any documents you submit. This documentation can be invaluable if you need to prove anything later in the process.

That's great advice - I'll start keeping better records. Thanks everyone for all your help figuring this out! I feel much more confident about handling this situation now.

This is such a helpful thread! I'm in a similar situation with seasonal work and had no idea about the difference between reopening vs filing new claims. @Christopher Morgan I really hope your appeal works out - please keep us posted on how it goes. It's crazy how many people probably make this same mistake because the system isn't clear about it. I'm bookmarking this post for reference when I inevitably get laid off again this winter!

@Connor Murphy You re'so right about bookmarking this! I wish I had found a thread like this before making all these mistakes. The whole system really needs better guidance for seasonal workers who go through this cycle repeatedly. Hopefully sharing our experiences here will help other people avoid the same confusion. I ll'definitely update once I hear back on my appeal - fingers crossed it goes through!
