New York Unemployment still owes me $1000 in backpay after a year - need help collecting
I've been waiting for over a year to get my full backpay from unemployment. They sent me part of what they owe ($500) but I'm still waiting on another $1000. I've tried calling but can't get through to anyone. Anyone else deal with this and know how to actually get the money they owe?

•try calling right when they open at 8am. Sometimes you can get through if your lucky

Finally found a way to get someone on the phone! Used this service called claimyr.com - they dial through the phone menu and wait on hold, then call you when they get an agent. Costs $20 but totally worth it. Here's a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

Here's what you need to do to get your backpay sorted out: First, document everything - dates, amounts, and any communication you've had with them. Screenshots are your friend. Then you've got several options: 1. Keep trying to reach an agent. The most reliable way I've found is using claimyr.com - they handle the calling/holding for you 2. Contact your state representative - they can often help push things through 3. File a complaint with the DOL 4. Send a written request via certified mail Don't give up - the money is yours and they have to pay it. Just gotta be persistent and document everything! Lmk if you need more specific details about any of these steps.
