New York Unemployment shows $8500 paid but never received money - help!
Been claiming unemployment weekly and doing everything right - work search, surveys, all paperwork. Got my monetary determination but never received any money. Now doing Medicaid application and it shows I got $8,500 in unemployment from March to September! Checked my unemployment account and it still shows $0 paid. Never got any payments or cards. What's going on with this money?

Sounds like identity theft tbh. Someone might have redirected your payments to their account/card. You need to report this ASAP to both unemployment and the police 🚨

•This happened to my cousin last year! Turns out someone changed his direct deposit info. Took 3 months to sort out but he got his money back

I had trouble reaching someone about my missing payments but found this website claimyr.com that calls unemployment for you and connects you when they answer. Costs $20 but worth every penny tbh. Here's a video about how it works: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

CHECK YOUR MAIL CAREFULLY! They sometimes send the debit card in a super plain envelope that looks like junk mail. I almost threw mine away lol

Here's what you need to do to resolve this situation: First, call unemployment ASAP using claimyr.com to get through. You need to speak with a tier 2 specialist about payment tracing. Second, request your payment history report. This will show exactly where the money went. Third, file a fraud report if the payments went somewhere else. Contact both unemployment fraud department AND your local police. Fourth, check if a debit card was ever issued to you by calling the NY unemployment debit card services. Fifth, document EVERYTHING. Screenshots, emails, letters - save it all. DM me if you need more help. Been through this myself and got it sorted. 💯
