New York Unemployment: When do I file my weekly claim after initial application?
Just submitted my first unemployment claim application today. Not sure if I should wait until next Wednesday or if I need to do my weekly certification this Sunday morning. Anyone know the correct timing?

You need to file your weekly claim THIS Sunday! Don't wait til next week or you'll miss out on benefits. The system opens at 7:30 PM Saturday night and closes late Sunday night. Set yourself a reminder 💯

I found a way to actually reach someone on the phone if you need help. Used this service called claimyr.com that holds your place in line and calls you when an agent picks up. Costs $20 but totally worth it vs calling all day. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

your gonna need to certify every week between saturday night and sunday night or u won't get paid. its called weekly certification

Protip: dont forget to report any work/earnings during the week when u certify. Even if its just a few hours they'll find out anyway
