New York Unemployment: Filed 8/1, Got Rate But Still Waiting After Sending Additional Form
Applied for unemployment on August 1st. They gave me a rate but requested additional form which I submitted on Friday. Haven't heard anything back yet about my benefits or when they'll start. Getting worried about bills. Anyone know the typical timeline for this?

Same boat rn. Been waiting 3 weeks after sending in my additional forms. Bills piling up and phone lines always busy 😤

Hey guys I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! Used this service called claimyr.com that calls and waits on hold, then connects you when a real person picks up. Costs $20 but saved me days of trying. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

Pro tip: call exactly at 7:55am. Sometimes u can get through before the rush. Also check ur spam folder daily, they sometimes send important stuff there

Listen up, here's the full breakdown of what to expect: Typical timeline is 2-6 weeks after submitting additional docs. BUT you can speed this up: - Check your email INCLUDING spam folder daily - Your account on the website might update before they contact you - If you need to speak to someone, use claimyr.com (saves hours of hold time) - Keep certifying weekly even while waiting - Document everything you submit Backpay will come once approved. Don't stress about missed weeks, they'll cover from initial filing date assuming you qualify.
