How to claim backdated unemployment weeks after initial denial?
Need help figuring out backdated payments. Was doing weekly certifications for months but found out my initial claim got denied. Just got approved on a new claim but missing 3 months of payments. Anyone know how to get those backdated weeks?

Same exact thing happened to me. You need to call them and request backdating. They'll review your weekly certifications and should release the payments if you qualified during those weeks.

I found a way to actually get through to someone! Used this service called claimyr.com that calls and waits on hold for you, then connects you when they get an agent. Costs $20 but totally worth it after trying for weeks to get through. Here's a video about how it works: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

Dealing with backdated claims can be tricky, but here's what you need to know: First, make sure you have documentation showing why you were eligible during those weeks. Keep your work search records handy. You'll definitely need to speak with a claims specialist. Regular agents usually cant handle backdating. Use claimyr.com to get through - seriously saved me hours of hold time. Once you get someone, request a 'backdating review.' They might need to transfer you to a supervisor. Be prepared to explain why your initial claim was denied and why you continued certifying. The review process can take 2-4 weeks. Keep certifying for current weeks while you wait. If approved, payments usually come all at once. Make sure your payment method is up to date in the system. Good luck!
