If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

UGH the NYS Department of Labor payment system is SO unreliable!! I've had payments delayed for no reason multiple times. Sometimes they just decide to 'review' your claim out of nowhere even when you've been doing everything right for months. It's like they WANT us to suffer.

I feel you on this. The system definitely has issues but getting angry won't help. If you really need to talk to someone about a delayed payment, I used this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that helped me get through to an actual NYS Department of Labor rep when I couldn't reach anyone myself. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI showing how it works. Saved me hours of calling and getting hung up on.

Never heard of that before but I might try it if my payment doesn't show up by Friday. Thanks for the suggestion!

Just wanted to say I had a similar issue a few weeks ago and it resolved itself after 3 days. Hang in there!

I've been waiting 3 weeks and still nothing!! Called the phone number like 50 times and can never get through to a real person. The whole system is broken if you ask me. My friend told me about this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that actually gets you through to NYS Department of Labor agents on the phone. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI showing how it works. Might be worth checking out if you need to actually talk to someone.

never heard of that service before, does it actually work or is it just another scam?

It worked for me last month when my claim was stuck. They basically call for you and get you connected to a real agent instead of sitting on hold forever.

Just want to add that you should definitely keep filing your weekly claims even if your initial application is still processing. I made the mistake of not filing for two weeks thinking I should wait until I was approved and it caused issues with my payments later.

just pay the taxes quarterly dont overthink it lol. the rate adjusts automatically based on your claims

One more thing - make sure you're reporting wages correctly on your quarterly reports. Any mistakes there can mess up your tax calculations and cause headaches later. The NYS Department of Labor is pretty strict about accurate wage reporting.

Good point. I'll double-check our payroll records before filing the next quarterly report.

I tried calling NYS Department of Labor about this exact situation last month and could never get through to anyone! The phone system is impossible. I ended up using this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that actually got me connected to a real person at NYS Department of Labor. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI showing how it works. Cost me some money but was worth it to get my questions answered about partial claims instead of spending weeks trying to call myself.

How much did that cost? I'm already tight on money which is why I need the unemployment help in the first place.

I don't remember the exact amount but it was reasonable considering I got through immediately instead of wasting hours on hold. They focus on the value of getting your questions answered quickly.

The NYS Department of Labor system is so confusing! I thought unemployment was only for people who got fired or laid off too. Why don't they make this stuff clearer on their website? I've been in a similar situation with reduced hours but never knew I could apply.

0 coins

The information is on labor.ny.gov but it's buried in the FAQ section. Look for 'partial unemployment' or 'reduced hours' and you'll find the details about eligibility requirements.

I was struggling with getting through to anyone at NYS Department of Labor to ask similar questions about my claim status. Kept getting disconnected after waiting on hold forever. Finally found this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that actually got me connected to a real person. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI showing how it works. Might be worth checking out if you need to speak with someone directly about your specific situation.

How much does something like that cost? I'm already tight on money waiting for my claim to process...

I was worried about that too but it was totally worth it to finally get answers. Way better than spending hours trying to get through on my own.

The whole system is so confusing! I've been filing claims for 6 weeks and still don't fully understand half the terminology they use. At least you're asking questions - I just guessed on most of mine at first.
