has anyone tried that claimyr thing? is it legit???
I've heard mixed reviews. Some people say it works well for getting through to agents quickly, while others prefer free alternatives like contacting their state representatives. If you're in a time-sensitive situation, it might be worth considering alongside other options.
UPDATE: I finally got through today! For anyone with the same issue, here's what worked: I tried that Claimyr service mentioned above and got connected to an agent in about 15 minutes. The agent checked my claim and said it was actually approved two weeks ago but stuck in the system waiting for a secondary review that never happened. She manually released the payment and said I should see it in 2-3 business days. She also gave me a direct reference number for this specific issue in case I need to follow up. I also contacted my state assembly member's office this morning as suggested above, and they were super helpful - said they'd follow up with DOL directly if my payment doesn't come through by Friday. Thank you all for your suggestions and support! This has been so stressful, and it helps to know I'm not alone in dealing with this system.
Great update! This is exactly why it's so important to be persistent with DOL claims. They're often approved but stuck in processing limbo. Glad you were able to get it resolved!
TYPICAL! Your money was just sitting there approved but not released. This happens WAY too often. Glad you got it resolved but it shouldn't take this much effort to get benefits we're entitled to!
Just want to follow up - did your payments come through yet? The processing times have been a bit slower lately due to some system updates NYSDOL is implementing in 2025.
Yes! They finally came through this morning - took exactly 4 business days. Thanks for checking in!

speaking of payments, does anyone know if they're doing any cola increases in 2025? my benefits seem so small compared to what bills cost now

•That's a different topic, but yes, NY is implementing a 2.3% increase starting July 2025. Maybe start a separate thread about that question.

UPDATE: Just got the deposit this morning (Friday) at 6:30am! So for Chase, it took about 18 hours from when it showed as released. Hope this helps anyone else wondering about timing.
