DETR claim filed 2+ months ago, no response & can't certify. What to do?

I filed an unemployment claim over two months ago and still haven't heard anything back. I can't even certify for weeks anymore. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do? I'm getting really frustrated with the whole process.

I found a way to solve unemployment claim delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZl2PKaocPM

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's been almost 3 months for me and radio silence from DETR. This is ridiculous! How are we supposed to survive?

3 months?! That's insane. Have you tried calling them? I heard sometimes that can help speed things up.

Yeah, I've tried calling like a million times. Always busy or I get disconnected. It's a nightmare 😫

Same here. I feel like I'm just throwing my phone at the wall at this point. DETR needs to get their act together!

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/joPqgg0bRFw

Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

Yeah, I was skeptical at first too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Got through to an agent in about 2 hours.

$20 tho? That's kinda steep when we're already broke af 😭

I get it, but for me it was worth it to finally get some answers. Beats calling for weeks and getting nowhere.

Have you tried reaching out to your local state representative? Sometimes they can help push things along with DETR. Worth a shot!

This is why we need a complete overhaul of the unemployment system. It's clearly not designed to handle high volume situations like this pandemic. We deserve better!

Hey OP, here's what I've learned from my own experience and research: • First, double-check that all your info in the system is correct. Sometimes small errors can cause big delays. • Keep certifying even if you can't do it online. You can mail in paper certifications. • Document EVERYTHING. Every call, every letter, every email. You might need it later. • Check your spam folder regularly. Sometimes important emails end up there. • If you can't get through on the phone, try emailing. Sometimes that works better. • As a last resort, consider filing an appeal. Even if you haven't been denied, it can sometimes get your claim looked at faster. Hang in there. I know it's tough, but keep pushing. You'll get through this!

anyone else notice that DETR's website is always "under maintenance" when you actually need to use it? 🙄
