Where to find IRS control number? Can I call them?
I need my control number for my transcript but I cant find it anywhere. Can I just call the IRS and get it from them? Been on hold for 2 hours already this is frustrating.

The control number isn't something you can just get over the phone. It's a specific identifier that appears on notices the IRS sends you. If you're trying to access your transcript, you can request it online through the IRS website or by mail using Form 4506-T. You don't actually need a control number for either of these methods.
