When do Child Tax Credit (CTC) returns get accepted? Hearing 2/17 but need confirmation
Anyone know when CTC returns start getting accepted for processing? Been hearing feb 17th floating around but want to confirm if thats accurate. Getting anxious waiting for my refund to hit

The IRS started processing returns with CTC on January 29th, 2025. However, by law, they cannot issue refunds before mid-February for returns claiming EITC or Additional CTC. The earliest these refunds will hit bank accounts is February 17th, assuming there are no other issues with the return.

•Regular CTC doesnt have the same delay. Only ACTC and EITC are affected by the mid-February rule 👍

My tax person said regular CTC is processing now but if u claimed ACTC gotta wait till mid feb cause of some path act thing idk the whole story
