PATH Act hold: When will 846 (refund issued) code appear for EITC filers?
Been waiting on my refund since January. Filed with EITC and CTC and stuck on path hold. Anyone know when the IRS will actually start releasing these refunds? My transcript still shows 152 on WMR and no 846 code yet. Getting anxious since bills are piling up.

The PATH Act hold is scheduled to lift mid-February. However, even after the hold lifts, it typically takes 1-2 weeks for the 846 code to appear. The IRS has to verify all income and credits claimed. Most EITC filers should see their 846 code by end of February, with deposits hitting accounts in early March.

protip: check ur transcripts at exactly midnight on friday. thats when they usually update with new codes
