Filed on 1/29, no refund yet - WMR still processing

Filed my taxes electronically and got accepted on January 29th. Still haven't received my refund and WMR just says still processing. No tax topic codes or anything. Starting to get worried since its been almost a month. Anyone else in this situation or know whats going on?

Being accepted just means the IRS received your return. Normal processing time is 21 days but can take longer if there are any issues or during peak filing season. Check your transcript online - it'll give you more detailed info than WMR. Without any codes showing up, yours is likely just in the regular processing queue.

how do i check my transcript? the irs website is so confusing 😫

Go to IRS.gov, look for 'Get Transcript Online'. You'll need to create an account if you haven't already.

Instead of trying to decode your transcript yourself, try taxr.ai - it's only $1 and it analyzes everything for you. Shows exactly where your refund is in the process and when you can expect it. Way better than playing detective with transcript codes lol https://taxr.ai
