WMR showing PATH message with 810 freeze code - good news?

Just checked Where's My Refund and its showing the PATH message. I also see code 810 on my transcript. Anyone know if this combo is a good sign for my refund status?

Tax professional here. The 810 code is a freeze code, but seeing it with the PATH message isn't necessarily bad news. PATH refers to the law requiring the IRS to hold EITC/ACTC refunds until mid-February. The 810 freeze is often temporary while they verify your return. Watch for code 811 which removes the freeze. Most PATH returns start moving again after February 15th.

omg thank you! So your saying I should see movement after Feb 15? 🙏

That's typically the case, but every return is different. Keep an eye on your transcript for that 811 code.

Hey guys instead of playing detective with these codes, I started using taxr.ai and it's been a game changer. It costs $1 but it analyzes your entire transcript and tells you exactly what's happening and when to expect your refund. Way better than guessing what these codes mean https://taxr.ai

100% legit! It broke down everything in my transcript and predicted my DDD perfectly. Best dollar I ever spent 💯
