Tax professional here - this is a known issue affecting multiple H&R Block customers in Michigan. The state's system is not properly receiving the routing/account information. If you already filed, expect a paper check in 2-3 weeks. For future reference, you might want to file directly through Michigan's website to ensure proper DD setup.

Called Michigan Treasury and they confirmed this. Said its affecting thousands of people who used H&R Block this year. They're basically just auto-converting all affected returns to paper checks
