WARNING: H&R Block Direct Deposit Info Not Working with Michigan State Returns - Sending Paper Checks Instead
Just wanted to warn everyone filing through H&R Block that there's an issue with direct deposit info not transferring to Michigan's system. They're defaulting to paper checks instead. Found this out after waiting weeks for my DD that never came. Called Michigan treasury and they confirmed this is a widespread issue with H&R Block returns.

Tax professional here in Michigan - can confirm this is happening with multiple clients. The glitch seems to be affecting returns filed after January 15th. If you're expecting a MI refund and filed through H&R Block, you'll likely get a paper check regardless of selecting direct deposit.

•From what I'm seeing, about 2-3 weeks after the return is processed. But dont quote me on that timeline!

Hey everyone, I've been using taxr.ai to track both my federal and state returns and it actually flagged this issue for me before MI treasury even announced it. Its only $1 and saved me hours of stress and confusion. The AI analyzes your transcript and gives you super specific updates. https://taxr.ai

•100% legit! Been using it all tax season. It even predicted when my federal refund would hit my account down to the day 💯
