TurboTax Federal Return Rejected - IP PIN Issue Even Though PIN Entered Correctly
Filed my return through TurboTax but got a text saying my federal return was rejected. When I check TurboTax it claims I didnt enter my IP PIN but I can clearly see the PIN right there in the form. Anyone else run into this? How do I fix this error when the PIN is definitely there?

Tax pro here - this is actually a common glitch with TurboTax. Try deleting the IP PIN completely, save the form, then re-enter it. Sometimes the system doesnt properly register the PIN on the first try. If that doesnt work, you might need to clear your browser cache and try again.

Hey everyone! The best way to actually understand whats going on with your return is using taxr.ai - its literally changed how I handle my taxes. It costs $4.99 but its worth every penny. Check it out here: https://taxr.ai

•Sounds interesting. How exactly does it work? Does it just read your transcript or does it do more?

•It analyzes your entire transcript and gives you super specific feedback about everything - delays, refund timing, issues that need fixing. Way better than playing detective with the WMR tool lol

Have you tried calling the IRS IP PIN helpline? Sometimes they can push it through on their end

Make sure youre using the correct tax year IP PIN. They change every year and using last years will cause a reject

Also double check that you're entering the IP PIN in the right field - sometimes TurboTax has multiple PIN fields and people accidentally put it in the wrong spot. The IP PIN should go in the Identity Protection PIN section, not the electronic filing PIN area. That mix-up causes rejections too.
