PATH Act Refund: Will Presidents Day holiday delay Feb 17th deposit date?
Getting mixed signals about the PATH act deposit dates. Everyone keeps saying February 17th is the magic date for PATH refunds to hit accounts, but that's Presidents Day and the IRS is closed. Anyone know if this means we'll get deposits earlier or later? Really need this money and cant afford any more delays.

Tax professional here. The Presidents Day holiday won't affect your deposit date. The IRS systems are automated and continue processing even during federal holidays. PATH Act returns that were processed early in the season should still see deposits around February 17th. The bank processing might vary slightly depending on your financial institution.

Called the IRS yesterday and the rep said depositz are still scheduled for the 17th regardless of the holiday. Hope this helps!
