PATH Act: When is first Direct Deposit Date (DDD) for cycle code 05 filers?
Anyone know when we can expect the first deposit date for PATH Act returns? I got cycle code 05 and wondering if anyone knows when the first wave of refunds usually hits accounts for early filers?

Tax professional here. The PATH Act delay ends on February 15th. The IRS typically starts processing these returns mid-January, but legally can't release refunds with EITC/ACTC until after Feb 15th. For cycle 05 filers who filed early, you should see deposits starting February 22-24th, assuming no other holds or verification needed.
