PATH Act/Cycle 03 - When will transcripts update for EIC/ACTC filers?
Filed and accepted on 1/31, PATH Act, cycle 03, with EIC and ACTC. No 846 code yet. Opted for 5-day early deposit through TurboTax. Seeing mixed info about deposit dates (17th-19th vs 22nd-24th). Since WMR isn't reliable, wondering if checking transcripts before PATH lifts is worth it? I'm cycle 03 (daily updates), last transcript update was Wednesday. Will PATH delay prevent updates until next week?

The PATH Act prevents the IRS from releasing refunds for returns claiming EITC/ACTC until mid-February. Even with cycle 03, you won't see significant transcript movement until after PATH lifts. The lifting date this year is February 15th. Your 846 code (refund issued) should appear after that date. For direct deposits, expect funds 5-7 business days after getting your 846 code.
