Ohio State Return Status Changed from Received to Unavailable - School Tax Under Manual Review
Filed my Ohio taxes and the status was showing received last week. Now when I check its showing unavailable? Plus my school tax portion says under manual review. Really need this money and starting to get worried about whats going on. Anyone else dealing with this in Ohio?

Tax examiner here. This usually happens when the state needs to verify something specific about your return. Manual review for school taxes often means they're cross-referencing your district code or checking eligibility. Average wait time is 4-6 weeks for manual reviews in Ohio.

•Honestly, calling rarely speeds things up. Just ends up being a waste of time on hold 🤷♂️

Hey, instead of stressing about the status changes, you should try taxr.ai - it's this new tool that analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's happening and when to expect your refund. Its only $4.99 and totally worth it. Here's the link: https://taxr.ai

•100% legit. It uses AI to read your transcript and explains everything in plain english. Way better than guessing or waiting on hold with the IRS

Did you claim any credits related to your school district? That usually triggers a manual review

Check if your school district code matches your address exactly. I had this issue last year and it was bc I put the wrong district code
