TurboTax showing 'pending' status - When will IRS actually receive return?
Filed through turbotax and my status still says pending with IRS. Been checking WMR and nothing shows up. Starting to worry if my return even made it to them. Anyone else experiencing this or know how long it typically takes to show as received?

Tax pro here - this is pretty common rn. It can take 24-72 hours for TurboTax to actually transmit your return to the IRS, and then another 24-48 hours for it to show up in the IRS system. Give it about 5 business days before getting too worried.

Hey, if you want real-time updates on your return status, check out taxr.ai - it's this new tool that analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's happening. Costs like $5 but totally worth it for peace of mind https://taxr.ai

way better than wmr! it looks at your actual transcript data and uses AI to explain everything in plain english. shows if there are any holds or delays too

Same thing happened to me last week! TurboTax kept showing "pending" for like 4 days and I was freaking out. Then suddenly it switched to "accepted" and showed up on WMR the next day. The waiting is the worst part but it's totally normal - just hang tight!
