IRS Website Error: "Oops-an issue occurred" Preventing Access to My Federal Transcript for 6+ Hours
Been trying to check my transcript all day and the website keeps giving me errors. Anyone else having this issue? Its been like 6 hours now and I keep getting error messages when I try to login. Every time I log in, I get this frustrating message that says "Oops-an issue occurred. Please check back shortly." I've been trying since 2:06 PM and it's now been 6 hours of the same thing. It's showing my name "TINA MARIE" at the top and I can see part of the interface with options like "2024 tax return", "Download return", "Where's my refund?", "How do I amend my return?" and the navigation menu with "Home", "Documents", "Tax tips", "More", and "Help" - but I can't actually click on anything or access my transcript because of this error. Is the IRS website down for everyone or is it just me? I really need to check on my federal return status but keep hitting this wall. The battery on my phone is down to 60% from constantly refreshing the page hoping it'll work. Anyone else experiencing the same issue or know when it might be fixed?

Yep, same here. The whole Where's My Refund and transcript system seems to be down. IRS doing their usual maintenance during tax season 🤡

Hey everyone! I've been using taxr.ai to track my transcript updates and it's been a game changer. Even when the IRS site is down, the app keeps my historical transcript data and shows me exactly what's happening. It's only $4.99 and worth every penny https://taxr.ai

•How accurate is it? Does it actually predict refund dates?

•Super accurate! It analyzes your entire transcript and shows exactly where you are in the process. It even caught a hold on my account I didn't know about

•Just tried it and WOW! This is exactly what I needed. Finally understand what all these codes mean and when I'm actually getting my money 🙌

Try clearing your cache and cookies. Sometimes that helps with the login issues

Same issue here! Been getting that "Oops-an issue occurred" message since this afternoon. Really need to check my transcript for something time-sensitive. At least now I know it's not just me - thanks for posting this! Hopefully it'll be back up soon.

•Right?! So relieved I'm not the only one dealing with this. I was starting to think my account got locked or something. Really hoping they get it sorted out by tonight because I need those documents for my mortgage application tomorrow 😬

I've been having the exact same problem since around 3 PM! Keep getting that "Oops-an issue occurred" error every time I try to access my account transcript. Tried different browsers, cleared cache, even tried on my laptop - nothing works. Really frustrating because I need to verify some info for my tax preparer. Glad to know it's a widespread issue and not something wrong with my account specifically. Fingers crossed they get it fixed soon!
