IRS Under Review Since August 5th - No Letters Since June - What's Going On?

Filed my taxes and its been under review since August 5th according to the IRS. Haven't received any letters or updates since June. At this point I just want triple my refund next year as compensation for all this waiting. The phone agents keep giving different stories everytime I call.

Tax pro here - When they say 'under review' without any letters after June, it usually means you're stuck in the automated verification system. Best thing to do is request a Tax Advocate, but heads up - they're backed up like crazy too.
