IRS ID.me Login Not Working - Everything Else Works Fine
Been trying to access my IRS account through ID.me but keep getting errors. Weird thing is I can log into all my other government accounts with ID.me just fine. This has been going on for 3 days now. Anyone else dealing with this?

This is actually a known issue right now. IRS is doing maintenance on their authentication systems. Try clearing your cache and cookies first, but if that doesn't work, you'll probably need to wait 24-48 hours for their systems to stabilize.

pro tip: try logging in super early in the morning like 5am EST. Less traffic on their servers

Update: just tried again and it's working now! Seems like the maintenance window is over. For anyone still having issues, try incognito/private browsing mode - sometimes cached login tokens can cause problems even after clearing cookies.
