IRS Callback Wait Time for Wage Transcript, Account Transcript, and IP PIN in California (PDT)?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to get my wage transcript, account transcript, and IP PIN from the IRS. I've been waiting for them to call me back but haven't heard anything yet. Does anyone know what time they usually start making calls? I'm in California (PDT). Also, what number should I be looking out for? Any help would be appreciated!

I found a way to solve IRS transcript and PIN delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpGPwfTO96k

One option you might consider is the Claimyr service mentioned earlier, which can help expedite the process of reaching a live IRS agent. While this service costs $20, users have reported success in bypassing long hold times. However, it's understandable that paying for a service might not sit right with everyone, given that contacting the IRS should ideally be a straightforward and free process. Additionally, consider asking your employer for an extension or more flexibility while you sort out these documents. They might be more accommodating if they understand the delays involved. Ultimately, whether you opt to wait, use Claimyr, or explore other avenues like contacting your local IRS office, persistence will be key in obtaining the required documents. Good luck!

Have you tried using the IRS website to get your transcripts? It's way faster than waiting for a call. Here's what you need to do: 1. Go to IRS.gov 2. Click on "Get Your Tax Record" 3. Choose between "Get Transcript Online" or "Get Transcript by Mail" 4. Follow the prompts and verify your identity For the IP PIN, you might need to create an account on the IRS website if you haven't already. It's a bit of a hassle, but it beats waiting for a call that may never come. Good luck!

I'm in the same boat as you, OP. Been waiting for my transcripts forever. The number to look out for is usually a 1-800 number, but sometimes it can show up as "Unknown" or "No Caller ID". My advice? Just answer every call for a while 😅

I agree, sometimes it's just about being available when that call finally comes through. It's frustrating, but it could be any day now.

Ugh, the IRS is such a pain to deal with. I've been trying to get through to them for weeks. From what I remember, they usually start calling around 8 AM your local time. But don't quote me on that lol

lmao good luck. I've been trying to get my IP PIN for 3 months now. The IRS is where hope goes to die 💀

It's such a slow process. I think patience (and a bit of luck) is key when dealing with the IRS.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. I've tried the website, but it keeps giving me an error. That's why I'm stuck waiting for a call. I guess I'll just keep my phone handy and hope for the best!

Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes that helps with the IRS website errors. Also, make sure you're using a supported browser like Chrome or Firefox.

Yeah, I've tried all that. Even used different devices. I think there might be an issue with my account or something. Hence the need for human help 😩

Maybe it's an account verification issue. Have you moved recently? Sometimes addresses not matching up can cause problems too.

Anyone else feel like we're living in a dystopian novel where we have to jump through hoops just to get basic information from our own government? 🤡 This whole system is a joke.

Preach! 🙌 It's like they're purposely making it difficult so we'll just give up.

For real tho. I've spent more time trying to contact the IRS than I did filing my taxes in the first place 😂😭

It's definitely frustrating, but let's hope things improve in the future. Maybe demand for better service will lead to changes.

Pro tip: if you're having trouble with the IRS website, try accessing it super early in the morning or late at night. Less traffic means fewer errors sometimes. Worked for me when I was trying to get my transcripts last year.

Yeah, the IRS site can be really overloaded during peak hours. Timing can make all the difference.

Have you considered going to a local IRS office? Sometimes face-to-face is the way to go. Just be prepared to wait in line for a while. Bring a book or something lol

I've done this before, and while the wait was long, talking to someone in person did help resolve my issue faster.

I'm curious, why do you need all three of those documents? Are you applying for a loan or something? Might help to know the context in case there's an easier way to get what you need.

Good question! I'm actually trying to verify my identity for a new job. They're being super strict about documentation because of some recent fraud cases.

Oof, that's rough. My company did something similar last year. Took forever to get everything sorted. Hang in there, OP!

It makes sense they'd be cautious with all the frauds happening. Maybe ask your employer if they can offer any guidance on fetching these documents quickly.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video for more info: https://youtu.be/IDKN1SpQoEI

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The government should make it easier to contact them without having to pay extra 🙄

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho

I've heard mixed reviews about Claimyr. It seems to work for some people, but it is a shame that there is a cost involved. It would be great if such services were available freely.

Have you tried reaching out to your local congressperson's office? They sometimes have liaisons who can help with IRS issues. It's a long shot, but might be worth a try if you're really stuck.

Good point! It might take some time, but if you've exhausted all other options, it's worth a shot.
