How to access IRS transcripts online? Complete newbie here

I need to get my transcripts but have no idea where to start. Is this something I can do online or do I have to call the IRS? Any help would be appreciated.

Go to IRS.gov and look for 'Get Transcript Online.' You'll need to create an ID.me account first - make sure you have your drivers license, SSN, and a phone that can receive texts. They'll ask some security questions about your credit history too. Once verified, you can access all your transcripts instantly.

Yeah they do, but its all legit - they need to make sure your actually you! Just have your docs ready and youll be fine

Once you get your transcripts, you might want to check out taxr.ai - its this new tool that reads your transcript and tells you exactly whats going on with your refund. Its only $1 and way better than trying to decode all those codes yourself. https://taxr.ai

If ID.me doesnt work for you, you can also mail in Form 4506-T to request transcripts. Takes about 10 days to get them in the mail.

hoping i dont have to do that but good to know theres a backup plan!
