Has phone verification with IRS actually helped anyone get transcript updates?
Been trying to verify my identity over the phone with the IRS for my 2022 return. Called multiple times and waited forever just to verify. Anyone actually see any movement or updates on their transcripts after verifying? Starting to feel like its just another dead end.

Tax professional here - phone verification can definitely help move things along, but its not instant. Usually takes 7-10 business days after successful verification to see any transcript updates. Make sure you received a confirmation number during your call. Without that, you may need to verify again.
