DDD 2/25 - H&R Block With All Credits Just Hit Wells Fargo
Just wanted to let everyone know my refund w/ all credits claimed just deposited to Wells Fargo acct. DDD was 2/25 (filed thru H&R Block w/ advance). Anyone else see theirs hit yet? Been checking my acct obsessively all day lol. Hope this helps ppl waiting on similar timeline?

Congrats on receiving your deposit! Did you have any processing delays before getting your DDD? What was your filing date? This information could help others estimate their timelines. Also, did you receive the full amount you were expecting, or were there any adjustments to your credits?

Not OP but isn't it weird how some banks are releasing funds early while others make you wait until the exact DDD? My credit union last year held my refund until precisely midnight on my DDD while my friend with Chase got hers 2 days early.

I had a Wells Fargo deposit last year with similar timing. They typically release IRS deposits as soon as they receive them, unlike some other banks that hold them until the official date. In my experience, WF and Credit Karma are consistently early releasers while BOA and some credit unions stick firmly to the DDD.

Still waiting on mine. Filed 1/29. Got accepted same day. No updates at all. WMR still on first bar. So frustrating. Claimed CTC and EIC. Anyone else stuck?

Thanks for sharing your situation! I'm in a somewhat similar boat - filed on 2/1 and still waiting. It's actually reassuring to know I'm not the only one experiencing delays with credits claimed.

Have you checked your tax transcript? According to IRS Publication 1345, returns claiming refundable credits are subject to additional verification under PATH Act requirements, which can delay processing by 2-3 weeks beyond standard timelines. This is especially true for returns filed before February 15th.

Did you verify your identity with ID.me? My return was stuck until I completed that step. The IRS doesn't always notify you when this is needed.

Your deposit timing is consistent with standard IRS ACH processing protocols. For those still waiting with transcript codes 570/971, the IRS verification queues are experiencing significant backlogs. If you need immediate clarification on your specific situation, Claimyr (https://youtu.be/_kiP6q8DX5c) has been instrumental for bypassing the 2+ hour hold times. I used it last week to resolve a verification issue and had my DDD updated within 48 hours of speaking with an agent.

But isn't calling just going to get the same generic response? Can phone agents actually do anything to speed up processing? Seems like they just tell everyone to wait 21 days no matter what's happening.

The key is reaching the right department. General IRS customer service can't help much, but when Claimyr connects you, request to speak with the refund department specifically. They can see exactly where your return is in processing and sometimes remove holds that are causing delays. Basic troubleshooting steps: 1. Have your transcript codes ready 2. Ask specifically about any holds on your account 3. Request expedited processing if you have financial hardship 4. Get a reference number for your call

Just got mine too! Filed Jan 31, transcript updated last Friday with 846 code, and money hit my account this morning. Anyone else notice how much faster direct deposits are processing this year compared to last? Remember when we were all waiting 8-10 weeks in 2023?

I'm still waiting on mine but I filed with TurboTax instead. I'm wondering if maybe H&R Block has some kind of agreement with the IRS for faster processing? I filed on January 25th and still nothing. Getting worried since I have bills coming due soon...

Are you checking WMR or your transcript? The transcript is more accurate and updates more frequently. WMR sometimes doesn't update until right before the deposit hits.

Did you have any fees taken out of your refund? I'm asking because I filed exactly 32 days ago with H&R Block and also chose the refund advance option. My transcript shows a DDD of 2/28, but I'm trying to figure out if I'll get it early like you did.

When you choose the refund advance option, your refund actually goes to a temporary account first where they deduct their fees, then forward the remainder to you. This sometimes causes a 1-2 day delay, but other times it processes faster than direct IRS deposits.

Do you know if having the advance affects whether you get it early? I've heard some banks don't release early when there's a third-party processor involved.

The advance doesn't typically affect early release - it's more about your bank's policies. Wells Fargo, Chase, and Credit Karma are known for releasing funds as soon as they receive them, while Bank of America and most credit unions hold until the official date.

OMG THANK YOU for posting this!!! 😭 I have the EXACT same situation (H&R Block, same DDD, all credits) but with Chase bank instead. Just checked my account after seeing your post and IT'S THERE!!! Would have never checked until tomorrow if I hadn't seen this! This community seriously saves my sanity every tax season! 🙏
