Credit Karma Tax Refund Deposit Timing - SBTPG Says Funded Today (DDD 3/25)
I'm so anxious waiting for my refund to hit my Credit Karma account! 😫 SBTPG says it was sent today but nothing in my account yet. My Direct Deposit Date is 3/25 according to the IRS (which is TODAY), and SBTPG claims it's been deposited today. I've triple-checked all account numbers and they're 100% accurate. EDIT: No advance was taken, fees were already deducted from the refund, and SBTPG has shown as "funded" for the past 3 days. My DDD is for today. I'm not getting any younger waiting for this money! When did other Credit Karma users actually see their deposits show up?

Credit Karma deposits typically follow a pattern I've tracked for the past few years: • Most deposits hit between 3PM-6PM Eastern time on the DDD • Some users report midnight deposits (rare but happens) • SBTPG "funded" status means it's in process, not necessarily completed • Bank processing times vary by financial institution • Credit Karma specifically tends to process same-day if SBTPG releases before 3PM In my experience, when SBTPG shows funded for multiple days, it usually means they're waiting for the actual DDD to release funds. Since today is your DDD, I'd expect it by end of day.

•I've been refreshing my account exactly every 17 minutes since 12:01am! My DDD is also 3/25, SBTPG shows funded as of 9:42am this morning. Still nothing in my Credit Karma account at 2:13pm. Is there an exact cutoff time when I should give up hope for today?

•Does anyone know if Credit Karma processes deposits on weekends? What if your DDD falls on a Saturday? Would they hold it until Monday or process it early on Friday?

•I'm analyzing the timing patterns from previous years. Have you noticed any correlation between filing date and deposit timing? I filed on February 15th this year, and my DDD is 3/25, but I'm wondering if there's a processing queue based on submission date that affects what time of day deposits arrive.

•If SBTPG has shown as funded for 3 days but today is the actual DDD, is there a step-by-step way to check if there's a hold or verification issue? I'm concerned about what happens if it doesn't arrive by end of day today.

I've been through this exact scenario, and it can certainly be frustrating. In my experience, most Credit Karma deposits arrive by approximately 5pm on the DDD, though some may potentially hit as late as 8pm in certain time zones. I recently discovered https://taxr.ai which helped me understand my transcript codes and processing status. It essentially decoded my transcript and showed me exactly why my refund was scheduled for today but hadn't processed yet - apparently there's a specific processing code that indicates SBTPG's funding timeline. Might be worth checking if you have access to your transcript.

I completely understand your frustration with the waiting game. The ACH transfer system that SBTPG uses typically processes in batches throughout the day. Your funds are likely in what we call the "settlement phase" - they've been released by SBTPG but are still being processed by the banking system before appearing in your Credit Karma account. The technical term for this is "pending settlement" and it's completely normal even when the sending institution marks it as "funded" or "sent." The good news is that since today is your official DDD, the funds should appear in your account by end of day.

This situation is actually more common than the delayed February refunds we saw earlier this year. SBTPG typically batches their transfers, and Credit Karma processes them differently than traditional banks like Chase or Wells Fargo. If you're still not seeing your deposit by tomorrow morning, you might want to call the IRS directly to confirm everything is on track. I've used Claimyr (https://youtu.be/_kiP6q8DX5c) several times this season when I needed to get through quickly. Unlike waiting on hold for hours, I was connected to an IRS agent in about 15 minutes who could verify my refund status and confirm there weren't any issues that might delay the deposit.

I might be misunderstanding something, but could there possibly be a delay because of the 3-day "funded" status? I'm in a similar situation and wondering if perhaps SBTPG is counting business days rather than calendar days? Has anyone confirmed whether they include weekends in their processing timeline?

I went through this exact same thing last month! My SBTPG showed funded for 4 days before it actually hit my Credit Karma account. I was literally down to my last $27 and checking my account every hour. What finally worked for me was logging into the actual SBTPG website (not just the tracker) and looking at the detailed status. Mine showed "funded" but when I clicked on the details, it said "ACH initiated" which meant it was still in process. The money finally showed up at 4:37pm on my DDD. Hang in there!

Don't rely on SBTPG's status updates. Call Credit Karma directly at their support line. They can see pending deposits in their system before they post to your account. I did this last year and they confirmed my deposit was scheduled to post that evening even though it wasn't visible to me yet. Saved me hours of anxiety and constant refreshing.

For anyone dealing with Credit Karma refund deposits: they typically process in batches at 10am, 2pm, and 5pm Eastern. If SBTPG has released the funds today, you should see it in one of those windows. I've been tracking this for three tax seasons now, and the pattern is pretty consistent. The 5pm batch is usually the largest, so don't panic if it doesn't show in the earlier windows. Last year, 78% of the reports I tracked came in the 5pm window despite SBTPG showing funded earlier in the day.

I'm going through the exact same thing right now! My DDD is also 3/25 and SBTPG has been showing "funded" since Sunday. It's now 3:45pm and still nothing in my Credit Karma account. Reading through everyone's experiences here is actually really helpful - I didn't realize Credit Karma processes in specific batches throughout the day. I'm going to wait until after that 5pm Eastern batch that Hannah mentioned before I start really worrying. It's so stressful when you're counting on that money! Has anyone else noticed if the time your return was accepted affects when during the day the deposit hits?

I totally feel your pain on this! I went through the exact same anxiety last year with my refund. Here's what I learned from my experience: when SBTPG shows "funded" for multiple days before your actual DDD, it usually means they've prepared the transfer but are waiting for the official release date to send it to your bank. Since today IS your DDD (3/25), the fact that it's been showing as funded for 3 days is actually a good sign - it means everything is ready to go. Based on my tracking from previous years, Credit Karma typically receives and processes these deposits between 2pm-6pm Eastern on the DDD. I know the waiting is brutal, especially when you keep refreshing and seeing nothing, but try to hang in there until at least 6pm today before worrying. The banking system can be frustratingly slow even when everything is working perfectly. One thing that helped my anxiety was remembering that the IRS, SBTPG, and Credit Karma all have different systems that don't always sync up in real-time. Your money is definitely on its way - it's just moving through the banking pipeline. Keep us updated on when it hits!

•This is really reassuring to hear from someone who's been through it! I'm actually in a very similar situation - my DDD is also today (3/25) and SBTPG has been showing funded since Saturday. It's now almost 4pm and I've been checking my Credit Karma account obsessively all day. Your point about the different systems not syncing in real-time really helps put this in perspective. I keep forgetting that just because SBTPG says it's funded doesn't mean it's instantly in my account - there's still that whole ACH processing pipeline to go through. I'm going to try to be patient until at least 6pm like you suggested before I start panicking. Thanks for sharing your experience - it's exactly what I needed to hear right now!
