Anyone's Child Tax Credit Hit with TurboTax or Credit Karma?
Been waiting on my CTC to hit my account after filing through TurboTax. Transcript is showing as processed but nothing in my account yet. Anyone else using TurboTax or Credit Karma seeing their Child Tax Credits deposited recently? DDD was 3/15 so getting a bit antsy about the timeline here.

So I've seen a bunch of DDs hitting for TT users today. CK users seem to be on a diff schedule tho. Most TT filers w/ similar DDDs are reporting funds appearing ~48hrs before the official date. Check your bank's pending txns - sometimes they show before they post. SBTPG (TT's bank) usually processes in batches around 3-5pm EST.

Do you know if this applies to people who paid their filing fees upfront? I didn't use the fees-from-refund option with TurboTax, so I'm wondering if that changes the timeline at all.

Have you noticed any pattern with specific banks? I'm using a credit union and wondering if that affects processing time compared to major banks like Chase or BoA?

This is incredibly helpful information. I filed on February 3rd and my DDD is March 17th, so based on your timeline I should see something tomorrow. Really appreciate the specific details about the processing batches.

Did you check your IRS transcript for these details? • Cycle code (last 2 digits tell you weekly/daily updates) • Any TC 570/971 combo codes (temporary holds) • Actual code 846 with the DDD • Whether your refund includes any offsets Makes a huge difference in predicting when funds actually hit.

This is such a good checklist! I wish I'd known to look for these specific codes earlier in the season instead of just obsessively checking WMR.

I think I might have a TC 570 on mine, but I'm not entirely sure what that means for my timeline. Does that usually indicate a significant delay?

Is checking transcripts kind of like looking at the behind-the-scenes code of a website while WMR is just the pretty front end that doesn't tell you much?

OMG the cycle code thing is SO TRUE! I had a cycle code ending in 05 and drove myself crazy checking daily when it ONLY updates on Thursdays!!! Wasted a whole week refreshing for nothing!

I had similar issues tracking my CTC. Used taxr.ai to decode my transcript. Shows exactly what each code means for your specific situation. Helped me understand my 846 code was showing correct DDD but SBTPG was holding funds for processing. Gave me peace of mind knowing nothing was wrong. Just bank processing time.

I'm a bit concerned about putting my transcript information into a third-party tool. How secure is this service, and are there any privacy implications we should be aware of when using something like taxr.ai?

According to the IRS.gov processing guidelines, there's actually a difference between TurboTax and Credit Karma processing times. TurboTax uses Santa Barbara Tax Products Group (SBTPG) as their bank, while Credit Karma uses a different processor. This can create a 1-3 day variance in deposit timing even with identical DDDs. Have you checked the TurboTax refund status portal specifically? It's separate from the WMR tool.

I was in the same boat last week... couldn't get through to anyone at the IRS to confirm if there was an issue with my CTC. I tried Claimyr (https://www.claimyr.com) and they got me connected to an IRS agent in about 15 minutes when I'd been trying for days. The agent confirmed everything was fine and my deposit was just working through the banking system. Saved me so much stress wondering if something was wrong.

Just had my CTC hit exactly 36 hours ago after filing with TurboTax on February 12th. My DDD was 3/14 but it appeared in my account on 3/12 at 9:42am. If your DDD is 3/15, I'd expect it anytime between now and tomorrow morning based on the exact same timeline I experienced. The SBTPG processing was exactly what caused the 2-day early deposit.

Be careful with Credit Karma this year. I had issues with my CTC processing because of how they handled the advance payments from last year. Steps I had to take: 1. Double-check that Letter 6419 amounts matched what CK entered 2. Verify CK didn't automatically check the box for receiving advance payments if you didn't 3. Call CK support directly (not IRS) to verify your filing status Several people in my tax group had delays because CK's system didn't properly account for the advance payments.

Did you opt for the fees to be taken out of your refund or did you pay upfront? In my experience from previous years, this makes a significant difference in processing time, especially with TurboTax. The refund-deduction option adds that SBTPG middle step which can add 1-3 days.
