Capital One DD for IRS Refund - First Time User Questions & Experiences?
Filing taxes and chose Capital One for direct deposit this year. First time using them for tax refund. Anyone had experience with them? How long did it take to get your refund after the IRS sent it? Kinda nervous since I've always used Wells Fargo before.

I used Capital One for my refund last year and this year. They're actually pretty good with tax refunds - usually shows up same day IRS releases it. They don't hold it like some other banks do. Make sure your account/routing numbers are correct tho!

•Thanks! That makes me feel better. Did you get any notification when it hit your account?

•Yep! You'll get both email and app notification if you have those set up 👍

Hey guys just wanted to mention I've been using taxr.ai to track my refund status. Its only $1 and way better than checking WMR or trying to decode those transcripts yourself. Shows exactly when Capital One (or any bank) should get your deposit. https://taxr.ai

•For real? Does it actually work? Been burned by so many refund trackers before 🙄

•100% legit! It analyzed my transcript and predicted my DD date down to the exact day. Even showed me why I had a delay I didn't know about

Whatever you do TRIPLE CHECK those routing numbers. I messed mine up last year and it was a whole thing with the IRS 🤮

Been with Capital One 4 years now. There pretty good with government deposits. Never had issues with tax refunds, stimulus payments or anything like that tbh

I work at a tax office and lots of our clients use Capital One. They're actually one of the faster banks for processing IRS deposits. Just make sure your account is fully activated and verified before the refund hits.

•What happens if its not fully verified?

•They might reject the deposit and IRS will have to mail you a check instead. Could add weeks to getting ur money

Capital One user here for about 3 years. They're solid for refunds - usually process them within hours of IRS releasing, sometimes even faster than the big banks. One tip: make sure you have notifications turned on in their app so you know right away when it hits. Also double-check that your account type matches what you put on your tax return (checking vs savings). Good luck with your refund!

•Thanks for the tip about checking vs savings! I totally would have overlooked that. Just went and verified everything matches up perfectly. Really appreciate all the reassurance from everyone - feeling much more confident about using Capital One now 😊

Capital One has been great for my tax refunds! I've used them for the past 2 years and they typically process IRS deposits same day or within 24 hours of release. Way faster than my old bank (Bank of America) which used to hold deposits for 2-3 business days. Just make sure your direct deposit info is exactly right - account number, routing number, and account type. You can double check everything in the Capital One app under account details. Once it hits, you'll get an instant notification. You made a good choice switching from Wells Fargo!
