CT State Tax Refund Stuck in 'Under Review' Status - Anyone Received Theirs?
Been waiting on my CT state refund for what feels like forever. Status shows Under Review on the website. Filed back in February and still nothing. Starting to worry since I usually get it within a few weeks. Anyone else dealing with this or recently got their deposit?

Tax professional here. CT DRS is experiencing significant delays this year. Under Review typically means they're verifying your information, which can take 8-12 weeks. Make sure all your W2 information matches exactly what your employer reported. If it goes beyond 12 weeks, call their support line at 860-297-5962.

Same situation here! Filed my CT return in early March and it's been stuck on "Under Review" for 6 weeks now. Called the DRS line twice but couldn't get through after waiting over an hour each time. It's so frustrating especially since my federal refund came back in like 10 days. Really hoping it gets resolved soon - bills don't wait for the state to get their act together! π€

β’I totally feel your pain! The wait times on that DRS line are absolutely brutal. Have you tried calling first thing in the morning right when they open? I've heard that's when you have the best chance of getting through. Also, you might want to try their online chat feature if they still have it - sometimes that's faster than the phone. Hang in there, it sounds like most people are getting theirs around the 8-10 week mark based on what others are saying here! π€

I did try the online account management system and it basically shows the same info as the basic checker, unfortunately. From what I've read, they tend to flag returns with certain credits like the Earned Income Credit or if there's any discrepancy with employer-reported info. The waiting is the worst part! Ugh, I'm going through the exact same thing! Filed my CT return in late February and it's been stuck on "Under Review" for 7 weeks now. It's so nerve-wracking when you're counting on that money. I actually called the DRS office yesterday and after waiting 90 minutes (!) they told me that "Under Review" can mean anything from routine verification to them needing additional documentation. The rep said they're really backlogged this year and to expect 10-12 weeks total processing time. Apparently if they need anything from you, they'll send a letter, so no news is kinda good news? Still super frustrating though - my federal came back in like 2 weeks! π€

Just got off the phone with CT DRS after a 2+ hour wait (I called at 8am sharp when they opened). Rep told me they're currently processing returns filed in early February, so if you filed mid-to-late February you're probably still a few weeks out. She also mentioned that anything involving Schedule CT-1040EZ or certain tax credits automatically goes into extended review. The good news is once it moves from "Under Review" to "Approved" the deposit usually hits within 3-5 business days. Hang in there everyone - sounds like we're all in the same boat! π€
