Oklahoma State Tax Refund Delays 2024 - Anyone Actually Get Theirs Yet?
Filed my Oklahoma state taxes over 3 weeks ago and still nothing. Keeps saying processing when I check the status. Starting to get worried since I usually get it within 2 weeks. Anyone else waiting or actually got their refund yet?

Tax professional here - Oklahoma is experiencing significant delays this year due to enhanced fraud prevention measures. The current processing time is averaging 4-6 weeks for electronic returns, longer for paper returns. As long as your Where's My Refund status shows processing, you're in the queue.

Same situation here - filed Feb 1st and still waiting. The lack of transparency is really frustrating. At least with federal returns you get better status updates. Oklahoma's "Where's My Refund" tool is basically useless - just says processing with no timeline. Really hoping we see movement soon since I need that refund for some bills.

•I totally feel you on the transparency issue! Filed around the same time and it's so stressful when you're counting on that money. Have you tried calling the Oklahoma Tax Commission directly? I know @Jessica Nguyen mentioned they just said be "patient but" sometimes you get a more helpful representative. Also might be worth checking if there are any issues with your bank info or if they need additional verification - sometimes that causes delays too.

Filed mine on Feb 5th and just got my refund yesterday! Took exactly 3 weeks. I was getting worried too but it finally came through. For what it's worth, I noticed the status changed from "processing" to "approved" about 2 days before the direct deposit hit my account. So if you're still seeing "processing" there might be hope it updates soon. Hang in there!

Good to know about the status changing from processing to approved a couple days before - I ll'keep checking for that. Filed my Oklahoma return on January 31st and finally got my refund this morning! Took about 3.5 weeks total. I was checking the status obsessively and it stayed on "processing" until Tuesday when it switched to "approved" - then the direct deposit hit today. For anyone still waiting, I know it's stressful but it seems like they're working through the backlog. The enhanced fraud prevention measures @Nick Kravitz mentioned are probably why it's taking longer, but at least they're being thorough. Hang in there everyone!
