Mississippi State Tax Refund Delays 2025 - Anyone Received Theirs Yet?
Filed my Mississippi state taxes back in February and still nothing. Starting to get worried since I usually get them within a few weeks. Anyone else from MS still waiting or actually got their refund? The where's my refund tool just says processing.

MS tax specialist here. There's currently a significant backlog in Mississippi state refunds. The state department of revenue is experiencing processing delays due to new fraud prevention measures. Average wait time is now 10-12 weeks, sometimes longer for returns that need additional review.

Filed on February 1. Received our federal refund on the 8th of February. Still waiting on our state refund.

Same situation here - filed MS state on Feb 12th and still waiting. Called the DOR twice and got different answers each time. First rep said 8-10 weeks, second one said could be up to 16 weeks due to "enhanced verification procedures." Really wish they'd be more transparent about what's actually causing these delays instead of giving us the runaround.
