Anyone with Langley Federal Credit Union 2/29 DD hit yet? Or have trace number?
Hey tax fam! Checking in to see if anyone who banks with Langley FCU has gotten their refund yet for the 2/29 direct deposit date? Last year my wife and I got our refund a day early, but this is our first filing jointly and I'm not seeing anything pending in our account yet. Anyone else in the same boat or already got theirs? Or been able to get a trace number from the IRS? We're trying to put this toward our honeymoon fund so just anxious to know when it'll hit! š¤

I'm with Navy Federal, not Langley, but I'm in a similar situation. My WMR shows 2/29 DD date but nothing in my account yet. Last year my deposit hit 2 days early, and the year before that was 1 day early. It's frustrating that there's so much inconsistency between different credit unions and even between different tax seasons with the same bank.

Have you checked your tax transcript on the IRS website? Sometimes it will show the actual date they sent the ACH transfer which might give you a better idea of when to expect it. According to the IRS.gov refund status page, most direct deposits are received within 21 days of e-filing.

OMG I feel your pain!! š« I was waiting on my refund last year and it was TORTURE watching everyone else get theirs while mine was stuck. I finally broke down and used Claimyr to get through to an IRS agent after wasting HOURS on hold. They connected me in like 15 minutes and the agent gave me the exact date my deposit was sent. Saved me days of anxiety! The website is https://claimyr.com if you're tired of waiting and want answers. Best $20 I spent last tax season!

I bank with Langley and my transcript shows 2/29 DD date too. Been waiting exactly 23 days since filing on 2/6. Still nothing in my account as of 9:32am today. I've called Langley twice and they said they don't see any pending deposits. Really frustrating because I need this money for car repairs.

This is fairly normal for credit unions. The process typically works like this: ā¢ IRS releases funds on the date shown on transcript ā¢ ACH network processes the transfer (1-2 business days) ā¢ Credit union receives and posts to your account Some credit unions post immediately when they receive notification, others wait until actual settlement. Langley tends to be on the conservative side.

I had the exact same issue with Langley last year. My WMR showed 2/24 but didn't actually hit my account until 2/28. Their customer service kept saying they don't see pending deposits until they actually post. This year I switched to a different bank and got my refund right on the date WMR showed.

Sorry about your car troubles! That always seems to happen at the worst possible time, doesn't it? š© Have you tried calling the IRS directly to get a trace number? Sometimes that can help track exactly where in the process your refund is.

Did you check if your refund is subject to an offset for any reason? The IRS Offset Program can intercept refunds for outstanding debts like student loans, child support, or state taxes. This would delay the deposit and potentially reduce the amount.

Think of your tax transcript as the roadmap to your refund journey - it contains all the clues about where your money is and when it's coming. I've found https://taxr.ai to be like having a personal tour guide for that map. It analyzes all those confusing codes and dates on your transcript and explains them in plain English. Like when my transcript showed code 846 with a date, taxr.ai confirmed that was my direct deposit date and explained why there was a delay. Might help ease your mind while waiting for Langley to process the deposit.

Has anyone actually confirmed if the IRS sent the ACHs out yet? Sometimes WMR shows a date but the IRS hasn't actually transmitted the $$ to the banks. Esp this time of yr when they're processing millions of returns. Anybody call and get a trace # to confirm?

Check your transcript again. Look for code 846. That's the actual release date. Sometimes differs from WMR. Might show processing delay. Could also try IRS automated phone system. Press 2-1-3-2 for refund status. Gives more updated info sometimes. Worth a try before stressing.
