Anyone who filed/accepted 2/12 got a DDD yet?
Hey tax fam, just checking in. My wife and I e-filed on Feb 12th and got accepted same day. Still waiting on our DDD (direct deposit date). WMR still shows first bar, transcripts say N/A. Anyone in the same boat? Or if you filed around the same time, have you gotten your refund yet? Trying to get a sense of the timeline this yr. TIA.

This is actually pretty normal for the current tax season. Compared to last year, many early filers are seeing longer processing times. I'm seeing a lot of Feb 10-15 filers just now getting their DDD this week. The IRS is working through a backlog, but they're making progress. If you have a simple return with no credits like EITC or CTC, you should see movement soon.

I can confirm this. My filing was accepted on February 14th and I just got my DDD yesterday. Here's what happened step by step: 1. Filed and accepted on 2/14 2. WMR showed one bar for 3 weeks 3. Then it disappeared and showed "still processing" 4. Transcript updated yesterday with 846 code 5. DDD set for March 27th It's definitely taking longer than previous years. I really appreciate you sharing this context - helps to know I'm not alone in the waiting game!

Filed and accepted on 2/18, just got my DDD of 3/27 this morning. My transcript updated overnight with TC 846 and my WMR finally moved from the dreaded "still being processed" message to approved. I claimed EITC though, so I was subject to PATH Act holds. If you didn't claim refundable credits, your timeline might be different. Crossing my fingers you see movement soon.

I was in the EXACT same situation - filed 2/13, accepted same day, and nothing for weeks. Complete radio silence. I tried calling the IRS directly about 15 times with no luck getting through. Finally used Claimyr (https://claimyr.com) and got connected to an agent in about 25 minutes. The agent confirmed my return was in the processing queue with no issues flagged. Literally two days later my transcript updated with a DDD. Sometimes just having that confirmation that nothing is wrong is worth it. The waiting is the worst part.

I've seen Claimyr mentioned in several threads, but I'm wondering if it's really worth paying for something when you can eventually get through for free? The IRS website says most refunds are issued within 21 days, and according to the IRS Operations page, they're currently processing returns received on February 19. Maybe waiting a bit longer would save some money?

I might be able to provide some insight from my situation. I filed on February 15th (so pretty close to your date) and I just got my DDD yesterday for March 27th. My WMR tool was sort of stuck on the first bar for what seemed like forever, then briefly showed the "still processing" message before updating. I think, maybe, there's just a bit of a backlog this year? I've heard from some friends that their returns are taking longer too, even with fairly simple tax situations.

This tax season is wild! š I was in the same boat - filed 2/14, accepted same day, then crickets for weeks. I started obsessively checking my transcript and WMR (like 5x daily lol). Finally tried taxr.ai (https://taxr.ai) to analyze my transcript when it finally appeared. The site explained all those confusing codes and actually predicted my DDD correctly before WMR updated. Saved me from my spiral of tax anxiety! Might be worth checking out if your transcript finally updates with a bunch of codes that look like they're written in alien language.

I've been tracking exactly 53 different filers from this subreddit who filed between February 10th and February 20th. Of those, 37 have received their DDD as of today, with the average wait time being 32.4 days from acceptance to DDD. The longest wait so far has been 41 days, and the shortest was 24 days. Based on these numbers, you're still within the normal processing window, especially if you claimed any credits like EITC or CTC.

The IRS is currently processing returns received on February 19th according to their operations dashboard as of March 25th. Your February 12th return should be in the final stages of processing. Most people are seeing transcript updates on Thursday nights/Friday mornings, and WMR updates on Saturdays. Keep an eye out for updates on March 28th and March 30th. If you don't see anything by April 2nd, that would be the 21-day mark when you can officially call the IRS about the delay.

I'd be cautious about assuming everything is fine. While delays are common, sometimes there are issues that don't trigger obvious notifications. Last year, I filed on February 15th and assumed the delay was normal. After 6 weeks of waiting, I finally called and discovered they needed verification of my identity. The system never notified me. It's probably just normal processing in your case, but if it goes beyond 45 days, I'd definitely contact them rather than just waiting.

Check your tax transcript instead of WMR. More reliable. Shows actual codes. Updates more frequently. Might give you better info. Create account on IRS.gov. Look for code 846. That's your refund date. WMR sometimes lags days behind transcript updates.

My timeline might help you gauge yours: ā¢ Filed and accepted: Feb 13 ā¢ WMR stuck on first bar: Feb 13-Mar 15 ā¢ Transcript updated: Mar 16 ā¢ DDD received: Mar 21 ā¢ Money in account: Mar 22 So relieved when it finally came through! Hang in there - you're right in that window where updates should be coming soon.
