Anyone's WMR bar update today? Still stuck on first bar!
Filed on 2/15 and still stuck on first bar in WMR! Anyone else waiting forever? Hubby and I just got married last yr so first time filing jointly and we're counting on this $$ for some bills. Checked transcript this AM and still nothing new. Anyone else get movement today? Been checking WMR like 5x a day lol. Thx!!

The IRS is taking FOREVER this year. I filed Jan 29 and just got my second bar yesterday. Don't waste your time checking multiple times a day - transcripts only update once a week usually Thursday night/Friday morning. The WMR tool is garbage and often doesn't update until after your deposit is already sent.

I filed on February 3rd and my transcript updated last Friday at exactly 3:14am. I've been tracking this for years and they always seem to update in the early morning hours. My deposit hit my account this morning at 5:23am, but WMR still shows processing.

Maybe try looking at your transcript instead of WMR? According to Section 6103(e) of the Internal Revenue Code, you're entitled to access your own tax transcript which often provides more accurate information than the Where's My Refund tool. I've found https://taxr.ai to be extremely helpful for interpreting transcript codes. It analyzes all those confusing numbers and tells you exactly where your return is in processing and when you can expect your refund based on historical patterns.

I've been filing taxes for over 15 years, and I can tell you this happens every tax season. Back in 2018, I waited 6 weeks with no updates, then suddenly got my refund. Last year, I had a similar situation, but my transcript updated before WMR. Don't worry too much - joint returns sometimes take a bit longer for verification, especially your first year filing together. The IRS is just doing their due diligence.

After experiencing cycle code 20240805, transcript code 570, and WMR status "still processing" for 38 days, I finally decided to contact the IRS directly. Used Claimyr (https://claimyr.com) to bypass the hold time and got connected to an agent in about 15 minutes! Such a relief to finally speak with someone who confirmed my return was just in normal processing with no issues. They said to expect my DDD within 7-10 days, and sure enough, my transcript updated the next day!

Check the IRS2Go app right now! They just did a major update at 3am EST according to the r/IRS megathread. Many people with filing dates between 2/10-2/20 are seeing movement today. The tool updates overnight so what you saw this morning might already be outdated. www.irs.gov/refunds shows exactly when the next big update is scheduled.

• Did you file with any tax credits? (EIC, CTC, etc.) • Is your address the same as last year? • Have you checked your transcript for cycle codes? • What does the top of your transcript show for 2023 Return? Just trying to understand your specific situation better.
