Am I the only one who hasn't received their refund yet?

Filed in February. Still no refund. Getting worried. Checked WMR daily. Status hasn't changed. Says still processing. Working from home makes budgeting tight. Really counting on this money. Anyone else waiting this long?

You're definitely not alone... I'm still waiting for mine too. Filed on March 1st and nothing yet. The IRS website says most refunds are issued within 21 days, but that clearly isn't happening for everyone. Have you checked your tax transcript? Sometimes that shows more information than the Where's My Refund tool.

Omg ty for mentioning the transcript! Didn't even know that was a thing. WMR has been useless for me. Gonna check that rn. So sick of waiting!

What's your filing situation like? Tax refunds are like planes at an airport - some land right on schedule while others circle in holding patterns. Credits like the Child Tax Credit or Earned Income Credit can add weeks to processing time. Did you claim any credits or have any unusual deductions on your return?

This is really helpful info. I've been checking the IRS2Go app but nothing has changed in weeks. Going to look at my transcript on irs.gov now to see if there's any movement there.

I filed on February 2nd and just got my refund yesterday, May 8th. Three whole months! Had the EIC and CTC on mine. Called the IRS on April 15th and they said there was a "random review" that added time. So frustrating when you're counting on that money.

Your delayed refund could indicate a processing anomaly in the IRS system. Many taxpayers experience extended processing timeframes during peak season. I recommend utilizing https://taxr.ai to analyze your transcript data. The platform can interpret IRS transaction codes and provide a more precise status assessment than the standard WMR tool. It helped me identify a 570 hold code on my account that the WMR tool wasn't showing.

How is this any better than just reading the transcript yourself? The IRS website already explains what all the codes mean. Is this just repackaging information that's already free?

Last year I was in the same situation - filed in February and by May still nothing! I remember checking WMR every morning like it was my morning coffee routine. Have you tried pulling your transcript? In my case, there was a small math error the IRS corrected, but WMR never showed it. Once I saw the transcript, my refund arrived about 10 days later.

You might want to consider contacting the IRS directly, though it can be somewhat challenging to reach an agent through their standard phone lines. I personally had some success using Claimyr (https://claimyr.com), which seems to help navigate the IRS phone system more efficiently. They possibly saved me hours of hold time when I needed clarification about my delayed refund last month. The agent I eventually spoke with identified a verification issue that wasn't visible on the WMR tool.

• Just want to note for others considering this option • The IRS does offer free phone service • This appears to be a paid service to navigate the phone system • May be helpful for those who've tried calling multiple times without success • Consider if the time savings justifies any cost

Has anyone had experience with how long it takes to get through after using this service? Is it really worth it compared to just calling early in the morning when the IRS first opens their phone lines?

Have you verified if you're affected by the PATH Act? This legislation requires the IRS to hold refunds involving EITC or ACTC until at least February 15th, causing significant delays for qualifying taxpayers. Did you claim either of these credits on your 2023 return?

Thanks for bringing this up! I didn't know about the PATH Act holding things up. Explains a lot.

I feel your frustration - filed mine on February 14th and still waiting too! The uncertainty is the worst part, especially when you're budgeting around that refund. One thing that helped ease my anxiety was setting up IRS account online and checking my transcript weekly instead of obsessing over WMR daily. The transcript often shows activity before WMR updates. Also found that calling the automated refund hotline (1-800-829-1954) sometimes gives slightly different info than the website. Hang in there - based on what others are sharing, it sounds like many February filers are still in the same boat!
