Filed 2023 taxes Jan 13, accepted Jan 17 - no refund or updates (570/971)
Filed my taxes on January 13th and got accepted on the 17th. WMR still shows processing and my transcript hasnt changed at all in weeks. Anyone else in the same boat? Getting really frustrated with the wait and need this money badly.

This is pretty common right now. The IRS is experiencing delays with early filers, especially if you claimed any credits like EIC or CTC. Have you checked your transcript for any codes? Most people are seeing 570/971 holds while the IRS verifies information.

•yeah i have both those codes. 570 dated 2/12 and 971 dated 2/19. does that mean more waiting? 😩

•Usually means they're reviewing something. Could be identity verification or income verification. Keep an eye on your mail for any notices.

Hey guys just wanted to share something thats been super helpful - I started using taxr.ai to analyze my transcript and it's been a game changer. Its only $1 and gives you way better insight than trying to decode everything yourself. Really helped me understand my delays and what to expect https://taxr.ai

The IRS is seriously understaffed rn and dealing with massive backlogs. Early filers are getting extra scrutiny this year to prevent fraud. Best thing to do is wait it out unless you get a notice requesting more info.

Try calling the tax advocate service. They might be able to help if its been more than 21 days since acceptance
