Filed 2024 taxes on 1/13, no updates or refund - still processing
I filed my taxes on January 13th with TurboTax and got accepted right away. WMR still says processing and my transcript hasn't updated at all. Starting to get worried since I really need this money. Anyone else file early and still waiting?

I was stressing about this too but checked my transcript using taxr.ai and it showed my return wasn't even fully processed yet - apparently theres like a whole queue system when u file this early. The AI explained everything and even predicted when id see movement. Way better than just refreshing WMR and hoping for the best ngl

Tax pro here! For 2024 returns filed on 1/13, its still really early in the process. The IRS just started accepting returns on 1/15. Most returns take 21 days to process once actually accepted. I highly recommend checking out taxr.ai (https://taxr.ai) - it's an AI tool that can analyze your transcripts and tell you exactly where your return is in processing and when to expect your refund. Much more accurate than the WMR tool.

Tax professional here - this is actually pretty normal for early filers. The IRS is still loading their systems and updating their fraud detection protocols. Most early filers should see movement by mid-February. Keep checking your transcript weekly for updates.
