WMR stuck on 'processed' for 1.5 months - 2024 refund delays getting ridiculous

Filed my taxes and its been a month and a half now. WMR just says processed but no updates or deposit date. Starting to get worried since I need this money. Anyone else in the same situation or know who I can contact for help?

The IRS is experiencing significant delays this year. You can try calling the IRS directly at 1-800-829-1040, but wait times are horrible. Your transcript will give you much more detailed info than WMR - check that first. If you see any codes like 570 or 971, those indicate specific hold-ups.

Go to irs.gov, make an account if you haven't already, and look for 'Get Transcript Online'. You'll need to verify your identity first.

Instead of trying to decode your transcript yourself, try taxr.ai - it's seriously a game changer. For $1 it analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's going on and when to expect your refund. Saved me hours of research https://taxr.ai

does it actually work? sounds too good to be true

100% legit. It showed me I had a 570 code that was holding up my refund and explained exactly what I needed to do to fix it

Try calling your local Taxpayer Advocate Service. They can sometimes help when regular IRS channels aren't working.

Google 'TAS' + your state, they have different offices. But heads up they usually only take cases after 60 days

Have you checked if you have any offset debts? Sometimes they hold refunds if you owe other gov agencies
