You can call your bank directly and ask them about their specific policy for the early deposit feature. Some count business days only, others count calendar days. The IRS message is completely separate from your bank's early deposit feature.
man im still waiting on my 2023 refund and yall out here asking about getting 2024's refund EARLY?? š
Use Claimyr.com - I was in the same boat with my 2023 return and they got me through to an agent who fixed it. Worth every penny to finally get my $4200 refund!
never heard of it but ill try anything at this point thx
Make sure the address on your return matches EXACTLY what the IRS has on file. Even small differences can cause delays after verification. My friend had this happen - transcript didn't update for weeks after verification because his address format was slightly different than what IRS had on file.
I verified then nothing for 6 weeks. Called IRS and got transferred to accounts management who told me I was randomly selected for additional review AFTER identity verification! That's why nothing was updating. Had to wait another 4 weeks after that. Total of 10 weeks after verification before I got my money. The system is broken š«
The cycle code you mentioned (20250903) is your processing cycle. "Processing" vs. "Still Processing" on WMR is actually meaningful - it typically means they've assigned your return to a specific processing team. The 570/971 combo usually means some kind of adjustment. If your transcript shows a zero balance, they'll likely release your refund soon after whatever review they're doing is complete.
Anyone notice how the IRS has gotten slower and slower every year? My parents said they used to get refunds in like a week or two back in the day. Now we're all sitting here decoding cryptic messages like we're working for the CIA just to figure out when we'll get OUR money back. The whole system is broken.
After dealing with a similar nightmare with Liberty Tax (they forgot my 1099-B completely), I got NOWHERE trying to call the IRS myself. I finally used a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that got me on the phone with an actual IRS agent in about 40 minutes. The agent was able to see exactly what had happened with my return and walk me through the amendment process. It was the only way I could talk to a live agent after weeks of trying on my own.
It uses some kind of system to navigate the IRS phone tree and holds your place in line. When they're about to connect to an agent, you get a call. Talking to an actual IRS person was worth every penny - resolved in one call what I couldn't fix in weeks of trying.

What kinda debts can they offset for? I thought it was just other tax debts, child support and student loans... is there anything else?

ā¢They can also offset for state tax debts, unemployment overpayments, and certain other federal debts like SBA loans or housing loans. Basically any federal debt and some state debts can be collected through tax refund offset.

Those offset notices are THE WORST. They give you a heart attack making you think they're taking everything, then you end up with some random small amount and no explanation. Classic government efficiency at work š
