570 Code + PATH + No Reported Wages Yet - First Time EIC with Disabled Dependent
Filed my return with a first time claim for my disabled dependent. Got a 570 code and I'm on PATH. When I check my wage transcripts for 2024 nothing shows up from my employers. No notices in my account and no verification requests. Wondering if these issues are related to the hold up.

The 570 code is a temporary hold while the IRS reviews your return. Since you're claiming EIC for the first time with a disabled dependent, this additional scrutiny is normal. The missing wage information could definitely be contributing to the delay - employers have until January 31st to report W2s. I'd give it a few more weeks for the wages to show up in the system.

Missing wage info is def the problem. My transcripts were empty last week but updated today and my 570 cleared right after. just gotta wait it out

Quick protip: make sure you have all documentation ready for your niece (medical records, proof of residency etc). They might not ask but better safe than sorry!
