FTB Business Refund Issues - Any Notices or Letters?
Hey everyone, I'm dealing with an FTB business refund issue. Has anyone here received any notices or letters from the FTB about their refund? I'm not sure what to expect or if I should be doing anything proactive. Any advice or experiences would be really helpful!

I went through this last year. It's a pain in the butt, but hang in there! Have you checked your online account for any updates? Sometimes they post info there before sending out physical letters.

ā¢Thanks for the tip! I haven't checked my online account yet. I'll do that right now. Fingers crossed š¤

ā¢Good advice! I always forget about the online portal. It's way faster than waiting for snail mail.

Ugh, FTB refunds are the worst. I've been waiting on mine for months now. No letters, no updates, nada. It's like they've forgotten about us small business owners. š¤

ā¢Same boat here. It's so frustrating! Have you tried calling them? I heard they have a dedicated business line.

ā¢I tried calling, but I just get stuck on hold forever. It's impossible to get through to a real person. š¤¬

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/0KwvDlViV6Q

ā¢Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

ā¢I was skeptical too, but it actually worked for me. Saved me hours of hold time. Worth it if you're desperate to talk to someone.

ā¢Interesting. How long did it take for them to get through?

ā¢It took about an hour and a half, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They called me when an agent was on the line.

Here's what I've learned from my experience with FTB business refunds: 1. Be patient. It can take up to 12 weeks for them to process refunds. 2. Keep all your documentation handy. They might ask for additional info. 3. Check your online account regularly for updates. 4. If you receive a letter, respond ASAP. Delays can hold up your refund. 5. Consider using a tax professional if your situation is complex. 6. Don't be afraid to call and ask for status updates. 7. If you're facing financial hardship due to the delay, let them know. They might expedite your case. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

Am I the only one who thinks its ridiculous that we have to jump through so many hoops just to get our own money back? The system is broken, y'all. š¤”

Pro tip: If you're expecting a large refund, consider adjusting your estimated tax payments for next year. It's better to keep that money in your business than give the state an interest-free loan.
