Need help contacting CA SDI for benefit recalculation - any tips to reach a live agent?

Hey everyone, I need to contact CA SDI to confirm the recalculation of my benefits. Has anyone gone through this process recently? Any tips on getting through to a live agent quickly? I'm worried about long wait times and getting my issue resolved efficiently.

Ugh, good luck with that. I've been trying to get through to SDI for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to actually talk to anyone šŸ™„

Same here! I've spent hours on hold only to get disconnected. It's so frustrating 😤

Have you tried calling right when they open? I heard that's the best time to get through.

Tried that too. No luck. It's like playing the lottery at this point šŸŽ°

I actually found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Is it legit?

Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

20 bucks? That's highway robbery! The system is so broken we have to pay just to talk to someone 😔

I get it, but think about how much your time is worth. For me, not wasting a whole day on hold was worth the cost.

Here's what you need to know about SDI benefit recalculations: • Recalculations usually happen if there's been a change in your income or work status • You'll need to provide updated wage information • The process can take 2-4 weeks • Make sure you have all your documents ready before you call • Be prepared to explain why you think a recalculation is necessary Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed info! Do you know if I need to bring any specific forms with me?

You're welcome! As for forms, you'll need your original claim paperwork and any new pay stubs or tax documents that show the change in your income. It's always better to have too much documentation than not enough.

Pro tip: if you do get through, ask for a direct extension or email for follow-up. It can save you a ton of time if you need to contact them again.

This! šŸ’Æ I got a direct line last time and it was a game changer.

Have you tried reaching out on social media? Sometimes they respond faster there. Worth a shot!
