EDD certification page showing System Error with tracking ID - can't complete biweekly certification
Ugh I'm trying to certify for my UI benefits this morning and keep getting this weird system error page with a tracking ID (3e468d4c74). It's the Access Gateway thing with 'Hybrid Web Access Management System Error' at the top. Has anyone else run into this today? My certification is due by tomorrow and I'm starting to panic a little. Is the EDD website down or is it just me?

Same here!! Been trying since 6am and keep getting that exact error. Thought it was my internet but guess the site is just broken again 🙄

OMG the EDD systems are ALWAYS down on certification weekends!!! This happens literaly EVERY time and they never warn anyone. I got the same error and now I'm worried bcause last time this happened they marked me as "failure to certify" and I had to fight for 3 weeks to get paid!! The whole system is rigged to deny benefits!!

•The system isn't rigged, but it is outdated. If you can't certify today, take screenshots of the error and try again later. The site usually comes back up within 12-24 hours. You can also try using the telephone certification at 1-866-333-4606, though it can be hard to get through.

This is a known issue happening today. The Access Gateway error occurs when the authentication system is having problems. Here's what to do: 1. Clear your browser cache and cookies 2. Try using a different browser (Firefox works better than Chrome with EDD) 3. Wait 2-3 hours and try again 4. If you still can't certify by tomorrow, call EDD first thing Monday morning Don't panic - they won't penalize you for a system error on their end, but you should document the error (take screenshots with dates/times) in case you need to explain the late certification.

Update: I still can't get in. Tried mobile, different browsers, clearing cache, even my neighbor's computer. Same error every time. I'm really starting to stress out. What happens if I can't certify by the deadline??

•If you can't certify by the deadline due to their system error, you'll need to call EDD to explain the situation. Take screenshots showing the error and document your attempts. They can manually process your certification over the phone.

If you need to reach EDD about this, I recommend using Claimyr to get through to an agent quickly. I was in the same situation last certification period and spent days trying to get through the regular phone line with no luck. Claimyr got me connected to an EDD rep in about 20 minutes who was able to process my certification over the phone. this happened to me last month!!! i had to wait till monday to call and by then it was marked late, but the lady on the phone fixed it all and backdated my cert so i still got paid on time. just make sure u have that tracking number when u call so they know it was the SYSTEM that messed up not u!!

Just wanted to add for anyone who finds this thread later - if you're getting the Access Gateway error, don't panic! This seems to be a recurring issue during certification periods. I had the same problem a few months ago and here's what worked: try incognito/private browsing mode, and if that doesn't work, the phone certification line (1-866-333-4606) is actually pretty reliable even when the website is down. Press 1 for English, then follow the prompts. It takes about 10 minutes once you get through. Keep that tracking ID number handy though - it's your proof that the system was having issues!
