EDD UI funds still pending, no explanation - what to do?
Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my unemployment funds. They're still showing as pending even though I should have received them by now. I haven't gotten any messages from EDD about why there's a delay. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on what I should do?

Classic EDD bs. They're probably "reviewing" your claim or some other nonsense. I swear they just do this to mess with us 🙄

I hear you, but remember that sometimes the reviews are legitimate. It's frustrating, but it can be necessary.

Pro tip: document EVERYTHING. Every call, every email, every piece of mail. You never know when you might need it.

Maybe we should all chip in and hire a skywriter to spell out "FIX EDD" over Sacramento 😂

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's the link: https://claimyr.com

Sounds sketchy. Is this legit?

Claimyr does offer a convenience at a cost, but it's worth weighing the urgency of your situation versus the fee.

As frustrating as EDD delays can be, there are steps you can take to try to resolve the issue. Checking your UI Online account regularly for updates and messages is crucial, as EDD may notify you of necessary actions through this platform. If you don't see any updates, it's important to continue certifying for your benefits while you investigate. Reaching out through multiple channels, such as phone calls, emails, or even social media, can help get the attention you need. Claimyr.com can be an option for connecting with an EDD agent quickly, although it comes with a cost. Documenting all interactions is vital, as this can help in case you need to dispute any decisions or if issues arise later. Lastly, consider reaching out to your local representatives, as they can sometimes expedite the process. While the system may currently be lacking, persistence and proactive communication often yield results.

Okay, let me break this down for you. There could be a few reasons why your funds are still pending: 1. Identity Verification: EDD might be verifying your identity. This can cause delays. 2. Quarterly Review: At the start of each quarter, EDD reviews claims. This can pause payments. 3. Eligibility Issues: They might be re-checking your eligibility for some reason. 4. System Glitch: Sometimes it's just a technical issue on their end. Here's what you can do: - Keep certifying for benefits even if you're not getting paid. - Check your UI Online account daily for any new messages or alerts. - Try calling EDD (I know, it's a pain, but sometimes necessary). - If you can't get through, consider contacting your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes help push things along. Remember, persistence is key with EDD. Don't give up!

Have you checked if there's any maintenance scheduled for the EDD website? Sometimes they do updates that can delay things.
