EDD payments stuck on pending - need help ASAP!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my EDD payments. They're all showing as pending on my account and I haven't received any money yet. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure what to do next or why this is happening. Any advice would be appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was stuck in pending hell for weeks. Have you tried calling EDD? Sometimes they need additional info to push your claim through.

I've been trying to call but can never get through. It's so frustrating! How long did it take for your payments to go through?

It took about 3 weeks of constant calling. I literally set an alarm and called right when they opened. Keep trying, you'll get through eventually!

Pro tip: call the Spanish line and then ask for English. Way shorter wait times 😉

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Got through in about 2 hours without having to sit on hold myself.

$20 to actually talk to someone? Might be worth it at this point lol

idk man, seems like a scam. why should we have to pay to get help we're entitled to? 🤔

I get the skepticism, but it's not a scam. It's just a service that does the waiting for you. Saved me hours of frustration.

Have you checked your EDD inbox? Sometimes they send messages asking for additional documentation. If you miss those, your payments can get stuck in pending.

I've been dealing with this for MONTHS. turns out there was an identity verification issue. Make sure all your docs are up to date and uploaded correctly. The whole system is a mess rn 😤

Oh no, months?! That's terrible. I'll double-check all my docs. Thanks for the heads up!

Here's what worked for me: 1. Call early in the morning, like 7:59 AM 2. If you get through, ask for a Tier 2 specialist 3. Be super nice to them (they deal with angry people all day) 4. Have all your info ready It took me a few tries, but I finally got my pending payments cleared. Good luck!

This is solid advice. Being nice to the reps goes a long way. They're just trying to do their job in a broken system.

What's the difference between a regular rep and a Tier 2 specialist?

Tier 2 specialists have more authority to make changes to your claim. They can often resolve issues that regular reps can't.

Oof, pending payments are the WORST. Hang in there, OP. The system is totally overwhelmed rn. Have you tried checking your claim status online? Sometimes there's more info there.

I'm in the same boat. Been pending for 6 weeks now. This whole situation is ridiculous. We need to organize and demand better from EDD! 😡

Pro tip: if you're certifying online, avoid using certain phrases that might flag your account for review. Things like 'still looking for work' or 'no change' can sometimes trigger a manual review and delay payments.

Wow, I had no idea. What should we say instead?

Be specific about your job search efforts. List places you applied, networking you did, etc. Shows you're actively looking.
