EDD UI Online claim activity page frozen for days - can't access claim details
Is anyone else completely locked out of the claim activity page on EDD's UI Online? For the past 4 days, I keep trying to view my payment history and current status but the page just spins and eventually times out with an error saying 'We are experiencing technical difficulties. If this issue persists, please contact EDD.' Well no kidding! I've tried different browsers, cleared cache, even used my phone instead of computer - nothing works. I really need to check if my recent certification went through since rent is due next week. The worst part is when I call the 800 number, I get the dreaded 'we're experiencing high call volume' message and it hangs up. Starting to panic a little... anyone found a workaround or actually managed to speak to someone?

Same thing happened to me last week! The claim activity page was completely frozen for about 5 days. I thought it was just my internet connection at first. Tried calling like 30 times and kept getting disconnected. Finally got through by using Claimyr.com - it's this service that connects you to an EDD rep usually within an hour instead of spending days trying. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/JmuwXR7HA10?si=TSwYbu_GOwYzt9km showing how it works. The rep told me they were updating their system and a bunch of accounts got stuck in limbo. They had to manually refresh something on my account and then it started working again.

Try accessing the site between 10pm-6am!! Their servers are OVERLOADED during normal hours and the system crashes constantly. I've been dealing with EDD for 2 years now and this happens EVERY SINGLE TIME they do any kind of \

Thank you, I'll try late tonight! I didn't even think about time of day being a factor. Makes sense though - probably fewer people online during those hours.

This is a known issue affecting many UI Online accounts right now. The claim activity page has database connection problems that are made worse during peak usage hours. A few troubleshooting steps that might help:\n\n1. Try accessing your account between 11pm-5am when server load is lowest\n2. Use Chrome in incognito mode (this bypasses stored cookies that might be corrupted)\n3. Instead of going directly to the claim activity page, first go to your homepage, then payments, then try claim activity\n4. If you get the error, don't immediately retry - wait 30 minutes before attempting again\n\nIf your certification status is your main concern, you can also check if the payment was processed by looking at your payment history or checking your EDD debit card balance (if that's how you receive payments). The system usually processes certifications even if you can't view the claim activity page.

This is excellent advice. I'd also add that you can check if your certification was received by looking at your certification history instead of claim activity. Sometimes one page works while others don't. The certification history page is typically more stable than the claim activity page.

Thank you both! I didn't think to try the certification history page instead - I'll try that right now along with the other suggestions. Really hoping I can avoid having to call EDD because that seems nearly impossible lately.

Internet Explorer has been discontinued, Microsoft replaced it with Edge. But you're right that trying different browsers can sometimes help with EDD website issues. Firefox seems to work better than Chrome for many UI Online functions in my experience.

It's totally ridiculous that we have to figure out WORKAROUNDS just to access basic information about OUR OWN BENEFITS!!! The EDD system is literally falling apart and nobody in Sacramento seems to care. My brother-in-law works in IT and says their entire system is running on technology from like 2001. No wonder it crashes constantly!

So did the Claimyr thing work for anyone else? I'm honestly just curious. When I used it last month it saved me like two days of constant redialing.

I've used Claimyr twice when I absolutely needed to speak with someone at EDD. It worked both times and got me connected within 45 minutes. Yes, it costs money, but after spending 3 days trying to call on my own with no success, it was worth it to me. Just make sure you have all your claim information ready before the call connects.

Thanks for sharing your experience - I might try it if the late-night access doesn't work. Really hoping I don't have to call though!

A whole week? Ugh, I hope mine doesn't take that long to fix itself. Thanks though!

This seems to be part of a larger technical issue EDD is experiencing. I spoke with a representative yesterday about a different matter, and they mentioned they're aware of the claim activity page issues affecting many accounts. They didn't provide a specific timeline for resolution, but did confirm it's on their end, not an issue with individual accounts.\n\nWhat's important to understand is that even though you can't view your claim activity, the system is still processing certifications and payments in the background. If you certified and it shows as received in your certification history, you should still get paid according to the normal schedule.\n\nAs others have mentioned, accessing the site during off-peak hours (very late night/early morning) often works better. The EDD system maintenance typically happens on weekends, which might also explain why this has been ongoing for a few days.

Thank you for this information! It's helpful to know it's a known issue they're working on. I'll be patient and try the off-hours access.

FINAL UPDATE: For anyone else experiencing this issue, I just wanted to share that my claim activity page started working again this morning. Looks like EDD fixed whatever was causing the problem. All my payment information is there and everything looks correct. If you're still having issues, try completely logging out, closing your browser, and trying again with a fresh login.

Thank you for coming back to update! I was able to access mine around 2am last night - everything's there and my payment is pending. Such a relief! Appreciate everyone's help with this.
